The International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR) is the flagship scientific event of the International Association for Pattern Recognition. It is recognized as one of the leading international conferences in the fields of pattern recognition, computer vision, and signal and image processing. The conference covers a wide range of fundamental and applied topics, including artificial intelligence, pattern recognition and machine learning, computer vision and robotics, image, speech, signal and video processing, biometrics and human–computer interaction, document analysis and recognition, as well as biomedical imaging and bioinformatics.

The 28th edition of ICPR will be held from August 17 to 22, 2026, in Lyon, France, providing an ideal platform for students, academics, researchers, and industry professionals to present cutting-edge work, exchange innovative ideas, and establish scientific and industrial collaborations.
The conference features oral presentations, poster sessions, specialized workshops, and numerous networking opportunities. All accepted papers are published in the conference proceedings within the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
